Pattaya is an option for those who want to combine the sea with city life: cafes, walks and trips to interesting places. Here the choice of area is especially important. The same resort can look completely different for a family with a child, a couple or a group of friends.

Central Pattaya, Jomtien or Pratamnak?

Central Pattaya is worth considering if you enjoy city walks, cafés and lively evenings. Before booking, check where your room is located and read recent reviews about noise.

Jomtien is a separate beach part of the resort. Compare the distance from the hotel to the sea, road crossings and surroundings: the name of the area in itself does not guarantee a comfortable beach holiday.

Pratamnak and northern Pattaya are also worth considering. Choose the exact location rather than relying on attractive pool photos. Check how you’ll reach cafés and the places you want to visit.

What to add to the route

Koh Larn can be a separate island day trip. Check transport, the return sailing and the weather before going. Allow a generous margin between your return and your flight.

Khao Chi Chan is another option for exploring the area. Plan your excursion day around your interests, allowing time to relax and travel.

You can begin in Bangkok and continue to Pattaya. This is an idea to discuss: the number of days and transport between stops depend on your dates and the practicality of the whole trip.
